Description

impressed by the great scenes of Lord of the rings, I tried to rebuild Rivendell, home of Elrond. I build everything on my own, with cinema. to complete the picture I used a bit photoshop to get a fuller vegetation, and a more mystical color! hope you like it, was really a lot of work!

Wonderful. I live in Upper Hutt, New Zealand where they shot the scenes for Rivendell. The place where they did it looks nothing like what was in the movie except for trees, a valley and one small river. Just shows what amazing effects you can do with CG :)

wow!! I have wanted to see someone attempt this picture in 3d, and i really cant believe what I'm seeing!! the architecture is spot on, and the lighting is perfect. excellent job, I cant wait for more!!!

thanks for the comments, I really enjoyed working on this picture. Since I have seen, LOTR the first time, I wanted to create, specially this scene, but did not know how to start. I think it will follow more LOTR pictures, some new challanges for me :), Tolkien is the best! Namarie

Simply incredible. The colors are amazing and being a huge fan of LotR, I must say, you've captured Rivendell very well. Not sticking to what the movie showed but how you see it. Great :)
