Description

Part 3 "Hyperspace" When the U.S.S. Blalock exited from the tunnel within the artefact, they discovered they were travelling faster than what is even possible. Galaxies were zipping by the ship as fast as planets would at medium warp speeds. Yet there was no subspace field generation causing them to travel billions of times faster than light, so how could they be travelling faster than light at all? They managed to develop a theory that resulted in more questions. In reality, nothing can travel faster than light because nothing can penetrate the light speed barrier. Warp engines displaces normal space, which itself moves faster than light, and quantum slipstream slips between the fabric of the space time continuum, but each of them exceeds the speed of light without breaking it. But there has been a theory about a realm of this universe that is beyond the barrier, where true faster than light travel is common as much as slower than light travel is here, HYPERSPACE. Somehow, the alien artefact allowed the Blalock to penetrate the light speed barrier and is now travelling to places never before encountered. But only after a few minutes of entering hyperspace, something locked on to the Blalock that could only be described as a tractor beam of some form, drawing the Blalock towards, not a Galaxy, but someplace that they never expected to find intelligent life.
