Description

Taken in a dark ambient.. Dimage7 doesn't work so well without light and with long-time exposures.. (Dave knows it well) ;) Btw.. Lucia noticed this statue with a sweet expression and asked me to take a shot.

She does have a sweet expression, beautiful statue. =) I like the way her face seems to glow just a little bit. Lovely work, Ale. And great find by Lucia! cappuccino blasters huggles =)

Actually, had you used any additional light, all the great contrast in the folds of her clothes and the shadowing of her face would have washed out completely. Sometimes, using no light and just relying on the ambient(surrounding)light is best. Good thing you didn't use anymore light, this is well done...

Indeed, as soon as I saw your pic of today I thought; how sweet! The moment after I recognised her... Yes, beautifully captured!

Well, nothing wrong with this. It might be more grainy and not a free choice but it rocks big time. Love that soft color and the greys in the statue with its superb detail. I think its a mastershot. Even when you work on a super clear image this would be a excellent choice for a edit.

@firestorm: it was taken at Villa Contarini, a villa near Padova, Italy. Don't remember exactly, but i think she is a metaphor of charity..
