Description
This is my first render with 3D Studio Max
and this is how "it happend":
- worked through three small "bloody-beginners" tutorials ( the ones provided with Max )
- decided to start my first "without any tutorials help"-experiment
- modelled a pawn ( spline / lathe / this was easy )
- fought my way through the material editor ( i still sweat )
- we have a rusty pawn.... nice....
- created a floor ( plane ) and again, had a quick and dirty fight with the material editor ( is this really blood on my nose ? )
- created two walls -> same thing like the floor-plane
- cloned the first pawn ( anybody needs a friend, even old rusty useless pawns )
- created a light ( one single "omni" ) and played with it a little bit ( yes, i love volumetric light )
- created a camera
- played around with a few more details ( positions of the pawns / light / camera / viewpoint.... )
- rendered
- decided "this one

Textures you used were good choices. Very somber atmosphere and good lighting. I like it a lot.
