finished the handle(although still not happy with it) and added a piece of cloth for the sword to rest on.

The only thing is that the texture on the sword seems grainy. I wish I could model that good...

thanx for your comments. the texture looks grainy because i added some noise in photoshop. just wanted to try it out, so in the original it looks alot smoother;)

I would say that the added noise breaks up the mirror look that you often find on rendered blades. Though not exactly accurate, it works in this context fairly well. personal taste here, but im not to enamored of the cross guard. I definately like the blade shape.
