Description

I will admit that my weakness in art is creating scenery with my 2d skills. I do have the potential, just not the imagination, so I decided I needed to fix that. This image apeared in my head today, so I decided to practice my scenery skills (It's the only way to imrpove). I think it came out very well. ^^ Someday I'm going to be a famous comic artist... if ever such a thing existed :D

I like th depth field. The brach walkway has the perfect amount of depth. The trunk of the tree seems to creep abit more into the 2D realm maybe a bit more shadow. The moss creaping up the side also lookas a bit odd, I think it needs some mor protrusions. Maybe take your camera out to the woods and snap a few pictures of real moss and take good hard look at it. The mushrooms are beautifull, I especially like the one that points to the back of the scene from the door. It helps to break the 2D thing. Try adding a few branches from the same tree that grow away from the vewer and all we see are pieces of them, bracnhes twigs and leaves. Great coloring awsome shading and highlights definatly your strong point. I love seeing new pictures from you so often now. Dude you are getting so good.
