Description

This was to be a much more detailed and accurate image,........however, the scene file was getting really fritzy so I went back to the original scene and rendered that instead. It depicts the two American P-40 pilots who managed to get their planes in the air during the Japanese attack on Pearl Harbor, Sunday December 7, 1941. I know this is not an accurate terrain depiction of Pearl,........the main terrain(with buildings) was made from a DEM file of Pearl. P-40 Warhhawks from Silverwings U.K., Rendered in Bryce 5 and composited and postwork in PS7. Special thanks goes to Tempest967 for his invaluable assitance. Thanks for your attention,....sackrat.

Excellent rendering...very well done. I have been thinking about a Pearl Harbor ship scene myself, but can't find the models online to work with. Thanks for the link advice...will check them out! Keep more works coming

The original scene is as great as the "newer" one! Lots of cool eexplosions, smoke, and the terrain looks quite distant...

The Hawks and Zekes look good, and yes, Zeroes were also called Zekes. Very well done.

Nice, but the P-40s at Hawaii in December 1941 were plain olive drab. This P-40 looks almost like it belongs to the R.A.A.F., the stars looking like roundels from the angle, except the Aussies painted the roundels on the fuselage. Otherwise, great pic!

well done!!Are the planes models or pics, where didyou get them fomr if so! One more thing, on the planes, the somke would normally drape behind them, leaving a trail in the sky, anyways, well done!!!

This is fabulous, forget the nitpicking! The feel of the moment, as they get engaged in combat, is great!!! Excellent pov! I love the flak bursts! Your choice of colors, and lighting are fabulous!
