ok, my whole understanding of fractal imagery just flew out the window, but nice, very nice.

Very good 4 thread design ... over/under alternation is consistent and correct. Just one minor point ... at the left side of the design, I see 3 stray slanted lines between the outermost threads and the next inner set. They break the symmetry and do not have a valid connection to any other part of the image. You should eliminate them. MGD

thanks for all comments and thanks for the tip. i just saw these three bits when i uploaded the image, and would like to know how they came from the formula, though the border parameters should have been same on both sides. i don't know why this formula makes the difference on the left side. but in the meanwhile i will try to eliminate these three things with post-processing ;-).
