downloaded some gem dfx files from 3d lapidaries.com
and have been creating different glasses ,and using some presets...heres what i got so far,looking forward to using these babies in some scenes,and creating some dynomyte jewellery!!! lemme know whatcha think!!

Very nice, getting gems to look right is a pain bacuse of Bryce's lighting system. These look great.

you got that right faust!!! and what looks good under one lighting scheme looks absolutely atrocious in another!!!...now...if i could tweek these so they looked good under all,or atleast many different lights i would be reaaaally styling....the other option of course...which is what i will be doing...is making gem material presets for many different lightings...i know...a BIGG pain...but...if a guy has 3 or 4 materials that are diverse it will save time in the long run...
