Spiritual - not the way the light forms a cross symbol - but the way the image touches me, the reverence inspired beyond the picture and imagery. It makes me pause, leaves me feeling calm, soothed. His pose/posture, as if standing in rain, lending the sense that the light itself has a soft weight to it as it touches his body and bathes him, catching it in his hands, the hands open to receive, as well as to perhaps give in return.
