This scene took about an hour to model. Rendered with v-ray, It took 12 min to render on an amd xp2200+ with 2 gig of ram

If you want to give the vases a chrome look, you need to sharpen the reflections, chrome does not blur reflections this much.. Did you use a low-resolution hdri as a reflection?

I'd like to see a hint of anisotropy in the surface reflections since it's brushed metal, but it's a very clean and convincing render.
