Description
Early this morning around 12:15 am, my middle
daughter (16 years of age) came into my bedroom screaming that she was very dizzy. She used to do this when she was younger and she was having a migraine. She then began to vomit terribly. I was able to get her into the bathroom and I was finally able to ask her what she had taken.
She told me, after some coaxing, that she had taken 5 --- 300 mg tablet of a drug called Triptal (not sure about the spelling). It was
given to me by my doctor to help with my back pain. She screamed over and over again..."i don't want to die." My oldest daughter called 911, and the police , along with the paramedics arrived about 7 minutes later. She told the police that she had been taking extra medication of hers for the past few weeks to get high. We had no idea.
The paramedics got her to the hospital and we spent most of the morning just watching her. They ran tests of course. Thankfully, the medication she took was able to be flushed out of her system. We were able to bring her home about 6 Am this morning.
I tell you all of this because you are my very good friends and because I...we...need your prayers. We will be trying to get her into her Psychologist as soon as possible...Cheryl

Now you have to help her avoid the incessant walking. The stomach pump tube has left her with an invasion she will try to repel and take revenge for. Perfection was her goal and the end that goes with it. Now to be imperfect and among frends is a sudden shock. Help her to become a human. I am going to read my new biography of Jung.

My prayers are with you, Cheryl, This type of thing happens to more children than we care to admit. Fortunantly your daughters situation wasn't deadly and the scare of it will probably change her attitude about drugs of all types. Again, my prayers are with you.

Of course my thoughts and prayers are with you and your family, talking as a young lady who has done stupid things herself I have faith in you all to do whats right by her. And to help her through this.

As a person well attuned to addictions I can tell you that your support will be invaluable. By showing that you are by her side no matter what and that she is still the wonderful person you have always loved and always will love will go a long ways to helping her through this. As was already stated above, this experience should stay with her in a very strong fashion... a very strong deterrent from future curiosities regarding drugs. All my heart is with you and yours Cheryl.

I am so glad that you were able to get her help in the hospital and she is going to be okay, at least from this event. I'm so sorry to hear about this, but I'm also glad that she has a loving mother that is there for her, as it will help her so much during these times. My prayers are with your family that she will be able to find the help she needs to live a very happy life...

Cheryl, You are such a Strong and Wonderful person, and the solid foundation you provide will see your Daughter through this. Thank God she is safe and will recover from this very bad decision, children often submit to peer pressure to try things, and they do not always make wise choices, but with a mother that is loving as you are, and the stable home that you provide her, she will learn from this and become a stronger person herself........My Famlies Prayers are with you.........Your Friend John
