Description
I tried to render a picture that I had in my mind from a book I read, though it didn't quite come out right. The setting was a desert, which explains the lack of water. I'm still working on trying to get it right.

The POV and the terrain are good but this image deserves more worked surface and a some water in the bed of the canyon to draw the attention. I encourage you to start again while inspiring to you by reality. :)

This is very good for a beginning. I agree with the above comments. Add more surface layers and textures; include water and you have a winner.
