Description
Just a test render using HDRI, skylight, and indirect lighting with all setting at their highest. There are no lights in this scene. Note: The model and textures came from: http://hdri.cgtechniques.com/~postspar/ as part of a HDRI rendering contest.

Damn, except for the blank vaulted ceiling, this really does look like a photography. I hope the textures you use for the ceiling will fit well with the rest of the image. Maybe faded murals, or even just continuing the stone textures would look great too. Well Done.

yes, i've used this model in a render in the bryce gallery!!! it was fun to work with, but added my own textures... but wow, this one came out stunning, the lighting is fantastic and the render is crisp!!! most wonderful works!!! :o)

Not much to say except WOW! I don't know about this particular contest but I sure hope this image weighs in well with others! So how many electrons did you kill with this render (how long did it take)?

Thanks for the comments, this took about three days of render time. That was about as fun as watching grass grow.

3 days / 3D's Right Brain Fine picture Mr. Goofball, It is nice to see Carrara can produce this type of image. You have the patients of a Buddhist monk to be able to withstand 3 days of rendering.
