This would do better if there were more subtle & varied waves and the color wasn't so blue (like a swimming pool). Nice rock texture - add some more veg layers & it'd be nicer!

I like the rock tex in the bg - and agree with Rich2; more subtle waves required. However, the extreme blueness of the water could actually be attributable to a high salt content...

I disagree with Rich2, as you seem to have got the perfect colour for glacial melt water. And Ea talks about salt content, well I am inclined to agree, but I think a high mineral content, but not salt as in NaCl. My only constructive critism (on an other wise beautiful image), is the top in "cut off", it would be nice to see some of the peaks, or valleys if there are any in your World. Impressive, nevr the less! ;-)

I think the image is great, it's very idealistic. I like the colour of the water, I won't reiterate what the above to posters said. But I always see water this colour in vacation ads, etc. My crtisim, only to be constructive though, is that the mountains seem kind of greyed out. We need some higher contrast in the closer montains and then the greyness of the back ons can be attributed to perspective. Secondly you need to use higher detailed mountains, I can see polygons all over the place(mainly were the water meets the moutain, and the peak in the middle right) which if eliminated would definetly increase the realism. Very nicely done mind you. I'd take a tropical visit there!

Wow! What a wonderful surface! I wouldn't mess with it; it's very pretty the way it is. I agree with Rich2 about the water.

I am nicely surprised for the discussion about my post. Thanks to all. In my opinion everybody is right and I am working to two new rendering, one with more detailed mountain, I don't like too that poligon, and one with a very new water. This post is only a small part of a big world with a lot of hard canyon. i will post something about.
