Description

The Italian National park of Gran Paradiso is home to some awesome 4000m Peaks. On the paths you pass groups of rare Ibex, herds of Chaimoi and whisling marmots (that make the place smell of parmasan). At higher levels, the Mattahorn, Mont Blanc and Mont Rosa all come into view. The place is well named!

Good choice of views, only wish the picture had more vibrancy and depth.

Fantastic image! Marmots? Parmesan? Funny you mention whistling ... reminds me of a restaurant in the mountains of Washington state: Whistling Jack's Lodge. Supposed to be named after whistling rodents. I always thought it was a joke. Anyhow: an excellent shot.
