Description

Okay, spurred by the recent fake HDRI images, I thought I'd try one, sorta.......Couple of things goin on here, this lighting is one of these, Fake HDRI/Radiosity/Global Lighting/Light Mapping, but I'm not sure which, I have the hollow sphere, mapped with an image, three radials in the top of the sphere(all soft shadow), sphere map is 100%ambient.... And there's some materials I'm trying out, greyscale lattice/terrain tile thingy, grunge and bumps, etc.......for those interested 14:52:35 to render at 1200x900 (there's a double glass sphere in the center, inside sphere has a solid render of a strange attractor mapped to it), been awhile since I rendered -anything- that took that long, I found I just don't have the patience for long renders.....sooooo hope you all enjoy looking.

Excellent! You and Englewolfe both have such indredibly clear renderings. Wish one of you would write a tut on radiosity and rendering for us humble beginners!

Another stunner Zhann. This is spectacular and I don't think it matters what lighting setup you've actually used 'cos the overall effect is amazing. As always your mats are the best and the composition and reflections are beautiful. 8)

Thanks, Cat.... You know I just noticed that the render is really big, even I had to scroll sideways and my monitor is 1024x768, I'll try to keep them managable for smaller monitors, anyone have a preference?

Excellent job, and I love the mats. Perhaps could use a bit higher rez, but that's just a nitpick. Nicely done.

Very cool render. I like the reflection in the far left sphere and the glass sphere looks very realistic. Very interesting shapes, well done!

Very nice image Zhann as always, but I want to point out that the floor texture seemes a little blurry. Is that just me? I know it's nitpicky, and besides that this image is extremely impressive, but that floor thing is kinda bugging me.
