Description

Today on the web i have read an article that it could have been on impacts with comets or astroids, organic matter from earth(eg also very, very simple life) was thrown into space and carried away. So i have been doing some thinking and some research. The fastest of these babys go at 200 000 kph which is 55km a second. when devided through the speed of light (estimated at 300000km a second) gives it a speed of approximately 0.00018 x the speed of light. Life evolved on earth ~3,8 Billion years ago. If such an Impact had found place .. say 2 billion years ago the astroid or comet whould have had time to travel the incredible distance of 360 000 Lightyears. That is more than three times the Diameter of our whole Galaxy(The Milkyway is estimated at about 108000 lightyears diameter). At an estimated distance of 5 lightyears between 2 Stars it would have passed 21000 Starsystems crossing it(on a 600000000 year voyage), and then be off to the next Galaxy(I didnt research the distances between the galaxys tho). That means .. even if life had evolved on earth only by mere accident .. it would have had the time and chance to spread over the whole galaxy. Fascinating thought. All distances where researched from different websites and are only rough estimates since the information given varies a lot. enjoy Dj P.S Hope i got my calculations right looooooooooooooool

Cool pic, I like the light flare. The info is very intersting too, I have read similar stuff and I'm on board with it.
