The modeling, specially on the hairy thing is lovely and the materials are very interesting. Both objects don't seem to belong in the same render but still, I find this to be above the fray. Excellent work.

Nice one. I like the combination of "real" three dimensional space combined with abstract objects. Texturing is great too.
