Koz rules.... ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Atol ran his thumb over the wine-stain birthmark marring the left side of his face, an unconscious habit he'd picked up during his living days. His bright green, almost hazel eyes drifted half-shut as he looked at the whore he'd taken to bed the night before. The gentle, golden glow of dawn had softened her features, making her look more beautiful than she probably had since her youth. His eyes wandered down to her graceful, strong neck, where his spell of tranquility was broken by the two ugly gashes in her neck clumsily stitched together. As the sun rose higher in the sky, more and more of her features reassumed their normal weathered sharpness, and the soft aurora's glow was lifted, revealing the grey pallor of one close to death. Only the vague and irregular rising and falling of her augmented chest suggested life. With a sigh of regret for the woman whose life was surely in a downward spiral, Atol pulled himself out of bed and quickly donned the clothing shed the night before in a hunger-induced blur. The shirt was a tad too small, the jeans a tad too big, but the former accented his defined muscles and the latter was... Well, just stylish. He paused in front of a mirror on his way out the door to check for bloodstains and, finding none, went off to find a payphone. Vampire he was, but not heartless, and he felt he owed it to his victim to call the hospital. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
