Description
The Brown Lady haunts the staircase of Raynham Hall in East Anglia. While living, she was Lady Dorothy Walpole, who had been locked in her apartments by her husband after he learned of her affair with another man. It's believed she may have died after being pushed down the staircase, and returns to the scene of her death in search of her children. Many who have witnessed her apparation swear that she appears to have had her eyes gouged out.

Corwin, this is based on a true story. You can read more about the Lady here, and in fact see a real photograph of the staircase, which I used as reference for the picture: http://wintersteel.homestead.com/Brown_Lady_of_Raynham.html Thanks for your comment, it's much appreciated. :)
