Description

Tagline: "Never should have traded power for my own immortal soul..." For this one I tried to depict a sad emotion on this one. I wanted it to feel like she was in pain or suffering. I was planning to leave the render "as is" but when I begun POST I think I was just carried away ^_^ Rendered in Maya (original render at 3600x2700). POST in combustion.

Very nice pose and lighting, but the wings merge with the background too much...

Thanks for the comments. It's thanks to the people who were giving me advice on the pose and framing. Special thanks to the my fellow "mayaers" at the Maya forum and to my "marketplace partner" and friend Lev ^_^

Wow, this is a great image. Didn't realized those were wings until cyberguru pointed out, it merges with the background too much. And the light hitting her left hand looks kinda weird. Shouldn't her body have shadowed her left hand? Otherwise, impressive image!

Yes, its really good :) Permiss me two last "but": shorting the iron of down-right it will have less importance visual, and perhaps a certain traslucence in wings. Fine work.

Good, but I'm not sure that I buy the lighting. Looks like the characters skin is not really receiving any good shadows.

This is truly amazing work. One feels the emotion of the despair that the female is feeling. A little more work would help on the lighting. But all in all, great work!

I like it a whole lot. I think it's emotional, and sad, and beautiful. I agree with cyberguru on the wings issue, but I find rather charming the way the wings seem to melt into the grey-black stone. Have you thought of doing a BW version? ____ Most excellent.
