Hmm, I am not advanced with 3ds max, although i am taking classes on computer graphics. But i m learning, and trying to get better. This is my second year working with 3ds max. I don't have much time for working 3d, because I am on a ski team in the winter, track team in spring, and cross country in fall. But 3d stuff is fun, and it's so satisfying when you finally make something.

Well you did a very good job modeling for only working in Max such a short time. Perhaps position the watch more flush to the plane in order to achieve a more realistic perspective, since it seems to have some "float" to it in this render. I know the tiles are a standard Max material, but try raytracing some reflection (not too much) for more depth. Great job overall!

I agree with zander,The watch does seem to be floating. The modeling on the face is pretty good,The band needs some work.It seems to flat and square.Try meshsmooth on the links to smooth out the sharp edges. Also the band should be more slack when its sitting. Also maybe add a few more lights. Some in the front to light the face, and one or two darker ones to backlight the tiles. Also move the omni lights around or turn off specular light on a few of them to prevent them from reflecting on the tiles.
