I'm not an artist. I'm not a professional. I'm just a guy that loves to play around with Poser 6 (and 7), Vue 6 and 3D Studio Max.
To me, the most important thing when working with this 3D stuff is FUN. And somehow I can manage to have a lot of fun here on 'rosity.
BIO
Well, who am I? I wish I knew that... OK, some facts. I was born in August 1966, which means my construction started somewhere in November 1965, and I wish to thank my parents for that. I was born around 1.00 PM, just in time for lunch. I'm grateful for that too, since one of my greatest hobbies is eating. Luckily I'm one of those guys who never get fat, no matter what or how much they eat.
Another thing I wish to thank my parents for is a well honed - dirty - mind. "A thing of beauty is a joy forever".
I live in the eastern part of the Netherlands, with my cat, in an old house which I am slowly rebuilding myself. Yes, I'm single, I haven't found the right woman yet.
For a living, I teach at a polytechnical. Subjects: almost anything that's computer related. Doesn't have anything to do with my formal education, I graduated in chemistry. But I love my job.
Being creative has always been an important part of my life. Be it drawing, playing the piano, finding unusual solutions in home improvement, modeling or computer generated images, I always enjoy creating something that did not exist before. This community here is a great inspiration. I only just don't have the time to execute all the ideas that bubble up to the surface of my mind. Which might be a good thing when I think about that "thing of beauty..." mentioned on this page....

Really nice looking... very natural. It appears to behave like real cloth. I also like the monochromatic style.

I like the way it drapes in the front, and flairs so slightly at the waist. The one problem I see is the bent arm behind her head. It kind of looks "broken" there, and her elbow is sticking out. But Hey, what do I know. I have Poser 5 and I am totally lost in there, so I envy anyone who can make it work at all :-)
svdl
Her left elbow is supposed to stick out: the sleeves have splits. The "broken" effect on her left upper arm is a result of the cloth simulation, not much I can do about that. Still, I don't think it's possible tu have conforming clothing behave this way (unless you do a lot of postwork).

Moooost impressive, you have a serious talent for creating excellent Dynamic clothes! I made an animation with one of your V3 dresses today, and it's just incredible... This rocks, right down to the buttons, Excellent work!!!

It's quite an impressive piece of modeling. The long folds (hard to do parts) seem to have landed nicely. The rest, as you say can be worked around.

Great Job. the cloth looks real!

Very nice. How about creating a version in which the sleeves end at her wrist and the bottom of the blouse ends at her hips?

I really love this. You're really good with dynamic clothing. may I suggest that you do something like Galadriel's dress out of the movie for a future project? ;-)

Great work... Thanks for uploading to free stuff!;-}

Great. Thanks for explaining the slit in the sleeve. I had given up simulating this item, that I love by the way, because I always got elbow tears. This is really cool. iI also think that the different group settings in your clothes are rather subtle. Thanks again for the toys.
