Description

More playing around with render settings and effects and such in Carrara 3 using elements from my gallery. FYI, this took 16 hours with best anti-aliasing, object accuracy at 0.5 pixels, shadow accuracy at 1 pixel. 2 bulbs with soft shadows enabled provide the light and TIR set at 25. Sky light, indirect lighting, and caustics were disabled for this one (or else I'd probably still be waiting for this to finish) The doily is an exported Bryce terrain created using bikermouse's Tif2Pgm converter. All else modelled by me using Carrara 1.1 and C3... well.. not the frog. That's, of course, a Poser import. Thanks for looking.

You're doing some wonderful things with Carrara! I'm thinking of upgrading to 3.0 myself. Excellent composition and render.

Wow?!?... ummm.. thanks, guys, for the support. Like I said, this was just an experimental render... testing out various settings and effects... mainly trying to make it look like the room was actually lit by two candles... was shooting for "good", not "photoreal"... many glaring technical problems in my opinion... but had gotten tired of working on it, and was pleased with the result so far.
