Description

Image drawn from the south Blaine River Wilderness area. When fleeing from the US Calvary, the Nez Perce Indians, led by Chief Joseph, moved up through Montana en route to Canada. US Cavalary had tough time catching the Nez Perce due to the Indian spotted horses known as Appaloosa's. A rugged, stamina built breed that proved its worth well. Note: I feel image could of been much better. Not sure I got the lighting right or missed the boat. thanks for lOOking, Montanan

I like the terrain here! The green is a bit too "fresh" for me. But probably it is a matter of taste. Still an excellent pic. :-)

Thanx for the history lesson. Agree w / Anne water is great. Maybe darken the green - in FG it's a bit neon. Otherwise, don't change a thing!

Pete, no ne uses the colors blue and green as well as you do. Combine these attributes with the lighting and terrain you have chosen = a vote for excellent work!

I enjoy your comments on your images very much. I think the only problem I have with the image is PoV. The foreground land shouldn't be dead center. The mountains in the distance are beautiful; I like the subtle mist.
