I'm a graphic designer from Finland who teaches using computers in designing, and whose favourite areas are vector graphics and typography and painting as well digitally as with traditional methods. - All said in one sentence...
I read a lot, I smoke a lot --- I'm not anymore young, beautiful and slim;-)BIOI graduated at Helsinki University some 20 years ago as M.A. - main subjects philosophy, aesthetics and Finnish language and Finnish literature. As a philosopher;-) I couldn't have a permanent job... I have been a teacher in many places; teaching both children and adults.
I am a self-made graphic designer and computer aided designing teacher. My very best interest lies - besides the pictures - on typography, in theory and in practise. I work as a free lancer.
I have the home page of my own - but unfortunately they are all in Finnish. But the adress is not a secret: www.valt.helsinki.fi/blogs/titta
All my studying materials are there - I teach quite a lot at Helsinki University.
Personal life: I live with my big black dog, Kirppu (in English "a flea") in Helsinki.

jocko500
the corlors they look like they are danceing together
rlucci
I like this one quite a bit. Good lines, good use of negative space and you've expressed the dancer's movement well. I think I have to agree with babouche13, the sun seems a little incongruous with the rest of the piece. But then again, it makes for an interesting contrast. Hmmm...

i like it a lot - it's defionitely stylish... :)
concerning the sun - well i'm not sure - i agree with rlucci at this point - perhaps it also would be an idea to add a minimalistic "landscape" (just the shape of a hill or a cloud) to the sun or leave it... ?!?! well everythin is just m.h.o.

Thank you all for your interest! The sun? I see the point... I think I wanted to move the focusing point of the composition: draw a line continuing towards left - I know I shouldn't explain anything of my work;-)but I really appreciate this discussion:-D Critical and constructive conversation is needed, thank you!

Whoooohoooo really nice!!! Love the simplicity, yet drama of it!

hmmm, well I think that the illution of motion of the dancing figures is more ovious thanks to the static sun as a reference. With out the sun the entire frame is in motion, with the static sun THEY are the ones in motion, dancing.
bevchiron
Very expressive use of line & colour, both capture the mood perfectly. I like the idea of the sun, it works well with the negative space but something, maybe the colour, isn't quite there yet. Really nice style, I like this a lot.
