love the soft appeal in her eyes, the nails driven in the skull to relieve the pain.... and the diary should read as: Dear Diary, I drove several spikes into my head today... it took some of the pain away so now at least i can see straight and dont have to vomit all the time....

dimension, by the time you drive the imaginary nails through your head, you are almost vacant, and thats what I am trying to portray here...LOL...I could write a lengthy novel on migraines:-)

Nice job, but they are not driven in yet?...her face appears above the pain...or not yet enduring it...

yeah Lorraine, sort of like she's vacantly floating, to me there is a certain disembodiment that comes about this time with a migraine.

Claire took the words right out of my mouth too. I'm sitting here with the zig-zag lines in my eyes just waiting for the pain so I can really relate to the whole thing. (Also) Claire

Gorgeous artwork. Very powerfull. And knowing what it all feels like I understand the stary look. No pain is showing, but behind the mask lies the pain!! Love, Johnnie..

I suffer from migraines and I know that expression all too well... so numb with pain that your mind is somewhere else, trying to escape from it, knowing that you can't... awesome portrait and postwork is exceptional...

Oh, I can relate to that feeling - and that spaced out look one gets when you just know you are going to get the mother of attacks and there isn't a thing you can do about it. Excellent image Syyd. :-)

I feel for you. Her eyes are windows to anything that may come and overtake the emptiness. The pain of a migraine is so hard to describe..u literally have to endure them to understand their depth. hugs I hope they leave you soon.... Beautiful image!

The larger pin/bolt in the temple is a nice added subtlty. There's a murkiness, almost underwater aspect to this image, a sense of being surrounded. I really like the subdued colours.

Cant sleep,
cant eat,
cant speek,
cant see,
cant feel.
Only pain is real. I have been there. and that. is. not. nice. journey.
