Very nice! I think a slightly darker background might bring out the characters more, but this is excellent.

its very cool, love the littel turtle at the bottom! not sure what the whoosh thing that is going on with the nanchucka chain on the right side is doing though... everything else is real crsip and then that whoshy thing around the chain draws your eye away from the rest of the pic. Looknig forward to seeing the final

This is a difficult piece to color; Most of Jow Mad's work are, because they are so incredibly detailed, and well composed. Since this is a WIP, its really hard to comment in helpful way... we have no idea what direction you are going in for the final, but for now, it does seem a bit dark, and the light source is a bit centered, but that can all change in a heartbeat. Post the finished piece... then I'm sure you won't be at a shortage for comments from those here.

I kept it a bit dark cuz it's night and the the light cource in indeed centered... I'm not sure what to do with the background tho, (the buildings part that is) I've looked up an other colored version... but I'm none the wizer still...

This is looking good so far. For the background I would do a stary night sky, yellowish light for the building windows, and then lose the bottom with misty effect. I think all of the eyes on the turtles should be white, not colored like their bandana. And lastly I think the motion effect around the chain on the right side should not be all gray. It should have the colors of what is behind it. Hope that helps. Great job!

hmm.. very nice job.. knowing that it is only a w.i.p, i'm sure you'll do sumfin more with the background. but i musttell ya, i'm really liking the way 2 decided to depict each turtle with different shades of green, giveing them individual looks... again, nice job.

Useful comments? Well you seem to have developed a technique of your self so far.

regardless of it being a night scene the shadows on the turtles are still too dark - u could add a secondary light source which would help loads! the colouring on this is sweet tho - it'll kickass when it's finished
