Description

Poser 4/Bryce 5/Photoshop 7/Knockout 2. Rendered each character separately in Bryce and used Knockout to pull the image from the background in Photoshop. The background, hair and clothes were all painted. Background. According to the Apocrypha: Judith, a pious widow who, strengthened by her faith in the God of Israel, takes matters into her own hands and so saves her people and Jerusalem by beheading Holofernes with his own sword. Great image. The thing that scares me the most is that she really seems content with what she did. In the historical perspective this would be true, she has saved her people, but on a human scale I would still be horrified. Great job of giving her the perfect expression. The head is nicely rendered as well. Happy holidays to you!

I have looked at this a few times now. I really like this image. I think the violence was handled in a tasteful manner. Reminds me of the Masters stylings. The BG is perfect for this as well. All in all an awesome creation. My one nitpik, And I can be missing on it. But, the young woman's hair (as awesome as it is) seems a bit "modern" next to the older lady to her left and her garb. But regaudless, Great image (v).

I haven't read the Apocrypha. Only parts of it. Sounds like an interesting story! Wonderful image! I like the permanent sneer, on Holofernes face too!
