Description
Greek style Building done in 3D Studio Max. Borrowed the design of the pillars from one of Syllogz pictures. But I molded the pillars myself.

Pretty neat. If you're going to be abstract with this, be ABSTRACT. If I were going to do this image again, I'd do something strange like make the columns shafts, or the dome glass. I realize that glass is a lot more processor intensive, but like I said, if I were doing it, I'd be willing to wait.(just my suggestion) On an architectural note, make the dome bigger so the columns appear to be holding it up. What you have here can't be built in reality with stone.

jr221, you're right. Thats good advice. Next time i will make a really cool Glass Dome. this was my first try at making one so i should improve with time. thanks Kebbelchen. i used both a direct light and a omni with cast shadow on. and I put an omni next to the girl with a red tint to make it look like the stars light are reflecting on her.

So this is Xanadu, I was searching it all the time and here you found it! Good concept, But The girl isn't very clear (Blurred) and she doesn't seem to cast shadows Despite all the light(s) around her. But anyway good modeling! I am to lazy to fully work out a scene, so you beat me there ;-)

Applying a bump map to the surfaces (if you didn't I really cannot tell from here) would really bring out the rocky textures. I absolutely love the lighting here.. very nice. The glow is very onimous. Thanks for the post on the Ice I was really trying to be abstract and include alot of annoying textures to see how they all worked with each other. I think an 8 was more than generous. Thanks alot. =)
