Description
A long long time ago on a pavement far far away two robots
engage in a discussion...
Robot and backdrop modeled with Wings3D. Textures made with UV-mapper
and Photoshop. Rendered with Bryce4.
I don't know if I'm quite finished with it so I'm looking for commenst and suggestions for how
to improve the model itself and how to make the scene more interesting.
I've submitted this model to the freestuff section so you can download it from there once it has been approved (in a day or two) but you can also download it from my site right away:

Great Modelling and render! Like the BG too!

excellent modeling! the tiled bg is awesome! wow

I like this idea of two lesson plans meeting. The territory is carefully focussed. The rounded edge might be hard to walk on if either gets forced to the wall. So they must stay well out. You've economized on emotion nicely.

thanks for your warming comments! Now I'm in the process of making this robot into a posable Poser Character. Well see how that turnes out...
Ronderosity
You asked for suggestions to make it more interesting... so here goes. (BTW - I love the piece, too and ditto the above comments). More than verbal intercourse, the figures appear to be "facing off" for combat... What if they were both standing side-by-side, with one facing the other, as if talking to him like 2 guys standing at a bus stop? If you don't mind the surrealism, they might be carrying briefcases or a roll-up newspaper like robot businessmen... If that's too far out, perhaps they ought to be seated at a table - something that detracts from the confrontational postures. Just my 2.5 cents worth. I only wish I could do that well in Bryce. Congrats!

Ronderosity - Good ideas, thanks. I wish however also to show the robot from behind because I like how the back of its head came out.

Any chance of a tutorial on this? Or wings in general?
zoren
two great little robots with emerging personalities, shades of cubism in Bryce?
