Description

The Story - "While en route to the Bellatrix star system, in the constellation of Orion, the Shag Harbour class U.S.S. Starplex detects an unusual form of radiation. The ship alters course to find the source of that radiation. When they arrive at the apparent point of origin of the radiation, they are stunned to find that there is no source anywheres to generate the radiation. No stars, no gas clouds, no ion storms, nothing. Like it came from nowhere. The Starplex was very close to the radiation's apparent point of origin, 900,000,000 km. The Captain decided to move in closer for greater resolution. When they got closer, the Starplex vanishes without a trace with all hands. Two months later, three Starfleet vessels picked up what appears to be the wreckage of the Starplex. But analysis of the hull has shown that the Starplex was not attacked, but the damage was caused by extreme aging. To the shock of the forensics team, the atomic clocks aboard the Starplex has shown that from the time it disappeared to when it was found, the ship had aged 140,000 years. When the forensics team had determined where the Starplex disappeared, the mystery was partially solved. The co-ordinates were between the Bellatrix star system and the Kessik star system. The line between those two star systems made up one of the three sides of the Delta Triangle. It has claimed another victim" Just reposting the Into The Unknown image. This time, I cleaned up the Star Trek image and enlarged it.
