Description

Wow I really like how this one turned out. the image is of a light mech of my own desighn, the Cross Lancer. Originaly rendered in Vue 4 Profetional and edited in photoshop, finaly got down how to make some good dirty grunge like metal, and not that shiny polished show room finish, that you would never find in the desert. I actualy wanted to add a missile firing from the mech's rocket pod, but then decided that would be a bit too much maybe, with it having just fired its Gause Rifle and firing its Quad Macine Guns, realy do like how this one turned out. Tell me what you think please =).

atmosphere rules :) It's not my genre, but I see definitely an high degree of professionality and skills there :)

Actually, I maintain that you should modify this image slightly... as a mechwarrior of moderate skill I can attest that, in a firefight, you are likely to fire missiles at anything bigger than you, because... well... It's just good practice.

another thing that wouldnt work is the fact that there is a gauss rifle on one shoulder and a LRM20 on the other. the rifle weighs ~13tons and the LRM20 weighs abougt ~6 tons. the mech would topple over.

Actualy put a little thought into the configuration, its actualy a Light Gause Rifle on the left shoulder 12 tons, and on the right an IS LRM 20 11 tons with 1 ton of extra ammo, and 4 machine guns up front. Its shooting at light vehicles, at the maximum range of its machine guns, and just took out a tank that was guarding the convoy, ie the light mech assaulting the convoy in the desert.

If no one changed Mech classification this one must be at least a medium one, but it looks as great as the first one.

This is another awsome one. Almost on par with some of Pawel's renders. Excellent mech texture, excellent POV, excellent pose, excellent weapons effects.
