We look at the empty farmhouse. We don't know who once lived there; what their dreams were; what lives they touched. Only the farmhouse remains. Silence only broken by our boots in the snow. Only our imagination can measure what was lost.

Ahh, that is almost like the farmhouse they tore down in the lot behind us. It must have been about 100 years old. They also tore out the trees, some of which looked about as old as the house was. Now, instead of a farm, it will be turned into a subdivision. It's more than dreams that are lost, it's an era. Nice image.

When I saw the abandoned house & broken down front porch, my first thought was that this farm was someones dream once & now it was a broken dream
