Description
Daughters of a sea god, Nereus and an Oceanid, Doris, the Nereids were nymphs of the sea in the greek mythology. Considered to be fifty in number (!) Few of them have myths of their own, like Amphitrite, Galatea or Thetis...

Thanks so much everyone!! I'm delighted by your kind comments! : ) It means a lot to me... As to the dolphin, the myth states that when the sea god Poseidon wanted the nereid Amphitrite as his bride, she declined the honor and hid from him in the Atlantic Ocean. A dolphin, not only located her, but also brought her back to him, and he married her. Their son is the fish-man Triton. The dolphin was awarded a place in heaven : the dolphin constellation. Maybe I would have to specify it : )

The smaller (blue) fishes are little "castagnoles"; they must be seen in the mediterranean see, especially near Corsica... A well known subjetc and delightful realisation. Keep on Brycing !
