Description

I hope you enjoy my first Terragen pic, it was a lot of fun to make. Please critique my work, I am barely scratching the surface of this powerful program and would like any advice to improve upon. I was also wondering if somebody could answer a simple question of mine. Can you apply images on terrains larger than 257x257 ?? Thanks for your time and taking a look. ~Adam

This looks wonderful, I thought it was a photo! I don't have terragen (wish I did) and cannot offer you any help on improvement. For one thing, I'm sure you know much more than I and for another, I think it's perfect! Bravo! :)

Very nice pic. Can't help with your question though, I'm still learning myself. But you could try asking on the forums over at http://www.ashundar.co.uk

For a first image it's great ! You should now work on your textures, lighting/atmosphere and the water to see what difference they can make to an image ! Nice Job !

not bad for a newcomer! try to use different surface layers for grass, rocks, sand and more... every element should have a few layers. for example, a dark bue-green, a green and a light yellow-green for grass. you can find exellent tutorials about this... play around & have fun!

I don't have much to add to what has already been said. It is an excellent first try. Please compress your files a bit more. You can safely do this without losing quality, if you are careful. Some of us still have very slow modems.
