Description
I realize that this is the time of year we are supposed to be capturing mountain and snow scenes, but I just didn't feel like putting chains on my car! Anyway, for some reason there was no one else way out here in the desert near Needles, California, even the the temperature was a nice 65 to 70 degrees at midday. A convenient wash allowed me to get at eye level with this barrel cactus without the risk of never getting to my feet again!
