Description

I thought I'd create an alien environment for my robot to explore. Enjoy. 100% rendered in max 5.1, no postwork. Total rendering time : 1 hour.

Your robot is a good model, so why show him so far away from the camera view, as if it's the environment you're focusing on here. I'm not crazy about the landscape. The lighting looks too soft, and I realize it's an alien landscape, but still there's no "planar" surfaces on the mountains, which makes them look a little cartoony. If you focus in more on the subject (robot), and add some good surfaces, you'll have a great scene.

I like it. Good work on it.

I have to agree with Sinner here, Heroblob. I saw your model when you posted it before, and it was good enough to be the feature presentation of this scene. The background isn't quite the high standard the model is. I would have liked to see you show it off more in this scene.
