Dried sunflowers I leave laying around in my yard for the birds to feed on, here is one picked clean. ;-))

Great vision, Henny. That's just what it looks like to me. It seems that the birds might have left a couple of feathers behind as they were fighting for position. We tried to grow some sunflowers this year but had so much rain they sort of rotted on the stem.
