Description

For whom it could interest:all these b/w pictures are done on traditionnal b/w 6X6 negativ films, printed in traditionnal b/w lab on baryth paper and toned whith selenium. After what I scan these and prepar them for the web, but, unfortunately,it is impossible to find the same grey scale than on baryth paper

This series has such a historical feel to it, and I love that! I also enjoy the shapes you've created with the contrast between the model's skin tone and the black clothing/background. Overall...very nice work! :-)

The image has an excellent mood to it and the bare back gracefully glidding into a heart is wonderful

I like this one even better than the first. Soft angles and high contrast, pulls my eye in deeper to the photo. :-)

I saw your comment about grey scale on baryth paper versus an internet image. This could be a limitation caused by your scanner. There are two scanner specifications to consider: DPI and number of bits. DPI (dots per inch) relates to image resolution. Number of bits (e.g. 24 bit, 36 bit) indicates the number of colors that can be resolved. 24 would be 8 bits per color; 36 is 12 bits per color and 48 bits is 16 bits per color. The lower color depth (24 bit or 36 bit) may resolve the grey scale you want. HTH
