the way you manage to capture a real mood is so perfect, there are no rules when it comes to artistic enterpretation, the story i see here is so ironically fitting and the crow only add to the mystique, this is one of my new favorite paintings!!!

Very surreal. You have taken raw canvas and created a real piece of art work! Bravo!

Freaky and scary. Looks like an illustration for an article about child abuse - trapped, scared, tied and hurt.

makes me ask, which is the prisoner... the bird or the figure... to be free like the bird flying is what we all want... very nice sketch & tone, made me think :]

Moody, mystic, fascinating. I get a feeling of ice, what will happen when the ice melts?

Again you leave me stumped as to what to say beyond "you did it again" as your work dives straight past logical analysis and into the subconscious to the point where trying to articulate my thoughts and reactions in words tends to be very difficult. Call it "the Lynch effect" perhaps, as my reactions inside are often pretty similar.
This figure appears to be dwelling on a small cylindrical world: the curve of the horizon is so pronounced, to the point where I think he could complete a cycle in only a few minutes, returning to his starting point... if only he were free. Excellent use of colour and the silhouetting of the figure is truly unsettling.

I'm glad Jim typed all that, saves me trying to explain pretty much the same thing lol! I really like the way the shadow has more substance than it's source, gives the image a very ominous feeling, & the boundaries are vague, threatening yet intangible...... Really nice work.
