Still working on this one, here's a little preliminary view. Any suggestions welcomed.

OK,..........lower the transparency just a bit on the pieces and lower the fog level and density. I find my eyes getting overwhelmed by the black background. Maybe put some kind of reflection map on the pieces. Of course I could be totally wrong.

no i agree with sackrat except i think u should get us to see a bit more of the board
