Description

My new years resolution is to better myself techniquely to produce better images. The past few months have been a lot of fun but I kept doing things I knew well how to make. In this first one, I improved my method to project shadows and have moved from 3 point lighting to more complex schemes (hence the ground bounce light on the belly of the spider). Hope you like it. Your critique and encouragements are allways greatly appreciated.

i like this so much u have a lot of variety in youre drawings maybe the robots would benefit from a more chromylike surface but hey maybe they wouldnt at all either i noticed the gently touches u mentioned u putted in there superduper as allways , but i wonder how a drawing from ure hand would look like after more then a couple of days work lets say like u spend two months r so on it with day by day addings of objects untill we have those 500.000 orcs swarming around ^^ r anything in that amount i geuss what i am just trying to say is i see so much of ure work and what it would be when u start composing all that stuff so u would blow the whole world away by even more stunnishing pics ;-)

I agree! I like your shadows. If you want to study further on lighting and shadows, there is a book out by Jeremy Birn, "Digital Lighting and Rendering." ISBN: 1562059548. Bravo Mr. Vandal.
