You've got some great sources here Amber, and the patchwork you've made is a great success and true to your vision, with just the right balance of detail. I particularly like the way you left the bottom part fairly featureless, as if the creature is on the verge of the abyss... probably how you feel, I guess. And, all things considered, I'm not surprised you feel this way. Just know that the pain will fade with time, it always seems to no matter how much you're hurting for someone... and remember you have friends hugs

It never ceases to amaze me how the darkness within us stimulates and inspires us to create. I have long felt that art is an amazing emotional outlet and a great way to lift some of the pain from our hearts... even if only for a little while. Your image here is amazing Amber, such an articulated personification of your emotional state. I too have lost loved ones close to me and I know my words cannot suffice to make things better. But this I know... time is indeed a healer, a slow one it seems, but a healer no less. Jim said something of importance above... you have friends... friends who care. Big hugs Amber.

I like this piece but see I totally readit diffrently..I see it as the dark creature that has had enough and is just screaming out loud for the sake of doing that..RELEASE..It's the best medcine and if it is the dark we release it is still things coming out and not being bottled up for years to come..wickedly wonderful piece I look foward to seeing more like this..^v^Julia

I'm with Jim and everyone else here, this is a magnificent way of releasing your dark feelings, and hopefully, with expressions such as this, you may find some relief from your pain sooner. You never fail to inspire and give me courage with the power of your images, so much emotion so neatly packaged. Thank you so much for sharing, especially at such a difficult time huge hugs
