Description

This is another for the framez challenge. One holon, framez and swirlx. I had a lot of fun playing with the lighting on this one, which just happened to be very educational as well. This one posed an interesting lighting problem because so many of the surfaces are to the "inside" of the object. It is truly three dimensional. Made in Xenodream. Too bad all the fractal generators are such low resolution. Would love to see this with sharper lines

i wonder if it's possible to export the image with a size of 4096x4096 pixels, resolution 72 ppi and then import it to photoshop, make it smaller, but a higher resolution, like 300 ppi ... shouldn't be a bad idea to try or are ya limited with wintel programs like that ... i wouldn't know, i can render images like these in any size ... takes a lot of memory, but the end result has a much more better resolution ... anyways, it's an excellent design, patty SMILE and you succeeded very well with your lightning effects ;-)

@ undisclosed-designer: after Wilby commented, I took a look at the lighting. It was 100 blurred, which is as high as you can go. That really surprised me! I tend to like sharp images. This one actually has about the right sharpness, in my opinion, because making it sharper would probably make it look less "real". I can indeed render them larger, but it might take forever if I did. :) But I'm afraid I couldn't import them into photoshop because I don't own the program. :(

almost a venetian glass effect. I think you push-up your rendering value in the rendertab to, lets say minimal 1600x1200 or higher. Its still a beautyfull image!
