Description

While modeling the castle, I tried, to make it look like ca 800-1200 n.Chr. The walls are painted white, to let the castle looks more impressive (medievil-tradition...WhiteHouse?!). Ca.600.000 Polys (1 foreground building 70.000, castle 20.000), rendertime 12 min with backdrop radiosity and AA low (1200mhz Amd duron). Thanks for viewing.

Here I am building little bits and pieces and you are creating works of art. Each one could be a painting. So what is the roof tiles look a little circular, or if the clouds are pixelated (BTW, is that because the background cloud/sky image is of a different size than your render?). The overall impression is beautiful. Excellent job. Vielen Dank auch.

Best part is the atmospheric perspective--gives it nice depth and makes the castle look big and impressive instead of a model. Yes, a little blur on the clouds would be good but that is a trivial thing--another beautiful piece of modelling!

You are among the very bestest medieval cityscape artists. The castle is grandiose... so grandiose that I feel bad for the serfs and peasants that had to get taxed to build that enormous edifice. Extremely well done, sir.

I'd put it closer to 1200 than 800..it does have a romanesque look to it, but the crenelations I think show up later, but then again, a lot of castles 'just grew' over time..great picture, I'm not sure about the houses, they almost look Elizabethan..but hey, composition is wonderful, and it's very realistic..you put some serious work into this.

The scale is awesome. Foreground textures seem a bit off compared to the rest of the image. Perhaps it would have looked better with the houses at the bottom cropped off?

Truly amazing, this would look fantastic in a lightning storm with water dripping off the roof tops. This is very typical of the old towns where I live - nice work!!

Hell Jea Mang, this truly is a great work of art. You should work for a game production company. BTW...12 MIN RENDERTIME?!! I don't even understand how you accomplished that with all those poly's, it's baffling. Good Game f00!!

12 min rendertime? Is that a joke? My rendertimes are allways between 10-30 hours! But what should I say - its excellent :-)
