I signed up at Renderosity in 2000 and spent a few years being inspired by some great artists around here, and learn from them. I was moderator for the Vue forum here at Renderosity from 2004 to 2008. If you want to learn about Vue, or share some tips, I encourage you to visit us. IÂ am currently drifting away from pure CGÂ and more into digital painting. I wish your staying at Renderosity will be as warm and instructive as it has been for me.
BIO
I was born in France and currently living in the USA. I have a technical background in Computer Science and a strong attraction for anything related to graphism (from visualizations, image analysis to photography and computer graphics). For the past few years, my work in CG has developed into something a little more serious than a hobby, with growing aspiration to turn it into something professional.
I also have a personal website at : Linfa.net. It is growing slower than I would like but hopefully it is worth visiting. Among other things, this site contains my main gallery, a section dedicated to Computer Graphics called Tricks and Treats and a link to my Store, where you can purchase t-shirts, posters, calendars and other products using some of my designs.
My 'trilogy' of tools is Poser for characters, Vue Infinite for atmospheres and rendering and Photoshop for touching up. I am currently practicing with Painter (not much to show so far) and learning modeling with Hexagon and Zbrush.

The Detail is wonderful!!

I'll give you a ten for this, but I'd have given more if it were possible! WOW, how often do you see a picture that actually makes sense? This is a story, not just a show-off of how well you can handle Poser. Very well done!!!

This is a very touching piece of work and it makes one think in so many various ways. Seldom does a work of art provoke a story in one sole picture, this one does that and more. Wonderful and very well executed.

Incredibly emotional piece of art. I'm speechless. Excellent work.

A wonderful piece, very touching. I'd be very interested in knowing how you did the hair on Death. The 'feathery' look you've achieved is remarkable, and I'm trying to achieve the same effect myself. If you'd be so kind as to help me out in that regard, I'd appreciate it greatly. Again, wonderful work!

ChromeTiger. I corrected the hair of death with photoshop using the 'smudge tool'. With a very small brush, just drag the paint from the hair until you get a strand of hair. For the feathery effect, use the smudge tool again but this time, drag the paint from the background over the feathers - this will make them look uneven and more realistic.
