Description
Here is the story as it unfolds:
The Zortra have arrived at our galaxy. True masters of the Universe, they gaze at the garden that we call the milky way.
No planet is safe, no sun is exempt. Their collections, nothing less then entire star systems, are destined for display in parsec wide show rooms.
Their collection ship, a 2 billion mile wide hanger sits outside a nearby stellar nursery. These beings, a mesh of nanotech, and Bio-engineering have moved amongst the galaxies for three thousand million years.
Even as you watch, a large red giant is brought inside. Excess core ash will be removed to avoid a messy unplanned supernova. There are few things more embarrassing to a Zortra engineer then an unexpected supernova. Silently, great tanker ships larger then the orbit of Mercury siphon off the dense inner core and stabilize their prize.
Closer in still, hundreds of planets are collected. Placed in great globes of energy, the are moved for safe keeping until its time to return back the empty space between the galaxies. Some like the one found third in orbit around a common yellow class G star will be discarded and Converted to plasma. Planets infested with parasites, emitting noisy radio waves are something no Zortra will tolerate for long. One hundred thousand miles from the main city, you can see Earth quickly being dissolved.
Some pests would even attempt to bite their collectors with exploding plutonium or anti matter. The noise and flashing lights of the explosions would keep up all night even the most patient Zortran.
Infected planets are not to be kept.
Peace loving tree hugger Zortran, the few who believe these parasites might be sentient have lobbied extensively to allow the infestations to be allowed to live. The parasites on uninteresting planets or hiding in the Oort clouds at the edge of the star systems will be ignored and allowed to live.

All modeled in Xfrog and rendered in Bryce 5.0. For a change and due to the shear size of files, this picture is made up of 5 separately rendered layers.. each one becoming the background for the next closer to the front. Some of the more interesting textures made use my digital drawing pad and set for random.
The Suns are NOT my models but rather downloading from Renderosity from a person named

Mind boggling. Excellent, but mind boggling.

Your a mighty modeler with Xfrog. My only regret in this awesome picture is not to be able to see all the individual models in detail. Vote

Superb modeling, now if I can regain my sanity I'll be dropping a "V" on this.
