Description
USS Essex performs an escape maneuver in the atmosphere of Alpha Carinae V. She is under attack from a Klingon D-7 battlecruiser, this incident reveals that the Klingons are aiding Axanar in its war with the United Federation of Planets.

It looks to me as if the beam might miss or do minimal damage....enough anyway for the Essex to return fire and deal with those 'gittish' treacherous Klingons!!!! ;-o Excellent colours in this Richard, and the beam looks so real!!! 'C Yer Mate! Alan

well, that explains how it got down on the planet where the Enterprise D found it..;) The Deadalus class is contemporary to the Enterprise class, so I think the D7 postdates it..depending on the show, or the Starfleet museum site, I think they had a D4 or 5 around this time..yeah, I should get a life..;) great pic, happy motoring..
